That light and airy feeling begins with the first step into the basement, with stairs that are covered with plush 25-ounce carpet and 9-pound underlay. Overhead, we installed potlights with dimmers and painted a dreamy soft grey colour on the walls.
Before we could begin, though, this basement was missing one vital element: a bathroom. We jackhammered the concrete floor, making room for the plumbing needed for the shower, toilet and sink.
We built a sub-panel for all the extra electrical alterations we added to the basement.
We also added sound deadening throughout the basement, to muffle the noise from the media zone upstairs.
In the bedroom, we installed a standard-sized closet and we upgraded the lighting.

A solid wood door with a glass insert leads into a bright room completely dedicated to the home gym, where Luxury Vinyl Plank covers the floor, creating a stylish modern farmhouse look while offering extreme durability for weights and other workout activities.
We installed custom mirrors along one wall, mounting the television with our classic TV Package. We also installed a dedicated circuit for the treadmill.

A solid wood door with a glass insert leads into a bright room completely dedicated to the home gym, where Luxury Vinyl Plank covers the floor, creating a stylish modern farmhouse look while offering extreme durability for weights and other workout activities.

In the living room, we created a powerful media zone by combining 5.1 Surround Sound with our renowned TV Package, wall-mounting the large flatscreen television to hide all unsightly wires. We also took full advantage of a nook in the side wall to install custom shelves. A countertop with a fridge beneath takes this nook to the next level by transforming it into a drybar.

In the newly created bathroom, the classic look of marble brings elegance, as evidenced by the large-scale tiles in the shower and on the floor. This Calcutta-style marbling can even be seen in the subway tiles on the backsplash behind the sink, topping the 36” vanity. Our clients chose the spacious feel of a 5-foot by 3-foot shower instead of a shower/tub combination. We emphasized that spacious feel by enclosing the shower with 10 mm glass. Standard plumbing fixtures throughout.
