Our development of this basement began with construction. We cut back the stairs for a more open feel, we remodelled the door to the storage room and we corrected the imperfections in the floor. We also moved the basement humidifier.
Then we installed 5mm luxury vinyl plank throughout, a durable yet stylish choice of flooring for an area of the house sure to experience a lot of traffic.
With no bedrooms in this basement, we were able to devote all our design energy into our clients’ entertaining plans for the space.

We designed the media zone to be a destination for cozy winter movie marathons and game day gatherings alike. We installed a wide 60” electric fireplace with our renowned TV Package, creating a clean look with no unsightly wires.

We installed a custom bar with reclaimed wood and metal pipe accents on the open shelving give it a decidedly industrial feel, while the brick backsplash continues all the way to the ceiling.
The black faucet, cupboard handles, drawer pulls and quartz countertop tie the look together. We also created a nook that’s just the right size for a table, ready to host hungry family and friends, or boardgames.

We installed large-scale tiles on the floor and laid the shower tiles in brick pattern, tying the look together in the same colour story.
