This basement is in a single-family home in Scenic Acres in NW Calgary and is a good example of a beautiful renovation completed on a limited budget. The basement consists of a main living area, a bathroom, and one bedroom. A sub panel was added to the existing electrical to accommodate the additional circuits. Except for the bathroom, the entire basement is carpeted. The basement has TV and internet connection, an in-wall HDMI conduit, and a raised plug. The bedroom is also equipped with TV and internet connections.
The basement was already developed, so everything was demolished before the new project could begin. The floor was jackhammered in order to install new ground works for the bathroom, as no rough-ins were present.

This allowed us to run new ground works and install the 3 piece bathroom. The bathroom features a high quality Hytec tub, 24-inch vanity, Delta fixtures, American Standard toilet and 12 x 12 tile flooring.

A custom sliding door system was added to separate the large open area of the basement from the section that’s currently used as a home office. This room was fully blue printed ahead of time and plugs were put into certain spots so that our customers electronics could be easily plugged in.

Basement Builders have been amazing throughout the whole process. Building an entire basement can be quite tedious, but these guys helped us throughout the entire process from designing the layout to customizing every detail. Although there were hiccups along the way, which will inevitably happen in every basement build, Basement builders were quick to respond and resolve the issues. As an added bonus, they upgraded our toilet free of charge! We couldn't have asked for a better builder. Thanks for the great work! We have been quite enjoying the basement since!
