This single-family home in Chestermere has a basement with a main living area, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Modern LED potlights were installed in the entire basement, with additional lighting selected from our dedicated sale rep at Cartwright Lighting Centre. The ceiling’s heating system was replaced with circular diffusers and the basement’s cold air returns moved to the floor level. There are dedicated circuits for the bar’s wine fridge and for the freezer in the basement’s storage area. The basement has our TV package which includes 1 TV and internet connection, an in-wall HDMI conduit, and a raised plug and TV backing for a wall mounted TV. The bedrooms are also both equipped for TV and internet. The trim, doors, and paint in the basement match those used on the other levels of the home.

The basement features an awe inspiring fully custom wet bar with grey stained wood chosen from our cabinet suppliers large array. The bar features an undermount sink, Canadian made Riobel faucet, tile backsplash, and countertop plugs. The bar’s granite top matches the features elsewhere in the property and was inset into the wall, increasing the amount of space available in the basement.

We used high quality stained railing and stringer caps on the basement’s staircase to match the style on the staircase in the rest of the property. This allowed us to carry the feeling from the main level into the basement making it flow nicely

We looked at a number of renovation companies and decided on Basement Builders Gold package based on their quick responses, professionalism and ability to answer all of our many many questions.
The process was great, much like building our house we tailored the carpet, tile, paint colours, bathroom fixtures, lighting etc. They matched the doors and baseboards/trim to the existing house. We also put in a bar with quartz.
Payment process was smooth based on progress payments. Don't go with someone who wants money up front, go with these guys.
Their trades were respectful, friendly, professional, and clean, an important point since people are coming and going for a couple of months and we have 3 young kids at home! The drywall dust didn't even dirty the upstairs!!
