Our clients had already set a distinctive style tone upstairs, so our first item on the renovation agenda was to match the finishings downstairs.
To create a sense of openness, we doubled up several joists to remove a beam that was intruding too much into the space. We moved all the plumbing shut-offs to the mechanical room to get rid of operations clutter in the living areas.
We also added Roxul Safe’n’Sound for acoustical muffling to all ceilings, with double drywall in both bedrooms for further sound reduction. The structural renovations continued, with two new egress windows and two window replacements.
We replaced two 50-gallon hot water tanks and added two new BBW gas lines.

A secret play area? Yes please, said every kid ever! Hidden in plain sight by two James Bond-style bookshelves, the ability to close the door on a messy pile of toys has been built in to these custom built-ins. The abundant shelving is mirrored by another custom bookcase across the room, next to the 46” gas fireplace surrounded by marble-style tile, an accent that sets the tone for the entire design style of the room. Underfoot, the creamy colour continues with 38-ounce carpet, which is very soft to walk on with its 22-ounce underlay.
Living Room

Floor to ceiling mirrors on an entire wall allow our clients to ensure they’re making all the right moves, while additional LED potlights above keep the room extra bright and motivating.
